About Marika Piekkala

I am a Finnish interior designer with over 17 years of professional experience in creating thoughtful, functional and
visually balanced spaces.

My work is based in Finland, and I also take on selected projects in abroad. Depending on the scope of the project,
I work remotely, on site, or through a combination of both.

My work covers the full interior design process, from layout and lighting to materials, furniture, textiles and finishing details.

I design interiors with a strong focus on:

I combine intuition and function.

For me, good interior design is never only about appearance. It is about creating spaces that feel right to live in, work in
and return to. I pay attention to atmosphere, proportion, flow and the details that make a space feel balanced and considered.

My design process is grounded, practical and visually clear, while still leaving room for personality, sensitivity and the overall
feeling of the space.
